Solar storm may have a wide range of effects on earth.

A severe geomagnetic storm is making its way toward earth, scheduled to impact Friday night and peak in intensity Saturday. The Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is reporting the potential for power grid failure.

While many of the alerts from NOAA center around radio, radar and GPS systems interference, a few of their alerts are much more severe in nature.

A severe geomagnetic storm is the second highest intensity of storm, according to NOAA.

Alex Jones retweeted a video describing the various effects solar flares have, including changes to regular earth weather.

Solar flares, just don’t only affect satellites. They also have a massive effect on weather by ionizing the atmosphere. So get ready for violent storms.
