Elon Musk chimed in to question ‘how common’ this type of illegal activity is during American elections
Bridgeport, Connecticut, the largest city in the state, has had its Democrat mayoral primary election overturned by a judge after supporters of a candidate were caught illegally stuffing a ballot box.
Surveillance footage obtained by Democrat mayoral candidate John Gomes showed the vice chair of the Bridgeport Democratic Town Committee and a former City Council member stuffing ballot dropboxes with votes in favor of incumbent Democrat mayoral candidate Joe Ganim.
Ganim previously served seven years in prison for corruption during his tenure as mayor and has been repeatedly reelected after being released from custody.
Gomes released the security camera footage earlier this week after “losing” the election.

Connecticut law states voters using absentee ballots have to personally drop off their ballots at a collection box.
Voters who are unable to go to the collection box themselves can select a family member, police officer, local election official, or caregiver to make the drop for them.
According to the judge’s ruling, the footage of Ganim’s supporters stuffing the collection box was enough evidence to call for a new primary election.
Elon Musk even chimed in, writing, “Judge orders a new election in Connecticut town after surveillance video showed ballot stuffing in drop boxes! That this happened here is beyond reasonable doubt. The only question is how common it is.”
In a follow-up post, Musk wrote, “Hmm,” alongside security footage from Georgia during the 2020 presidential election that showed illicit activity.
The X owner is clearly insinuating shenanigans occurred during the 2020 presidential election.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump is currently being judicially attacked for asserting there was foul play in the 2020 Georgia election.

Donald Trump insider and political pundit Roger Stone commented on the election news via X on Thursday, writing, “The Bridgeport, Connecticut Democrat Machine is among the most corrupt in America. They once kept the polling places open three extra hours to steal the Governorship from a Republican.”
Conservative activist and political commentator Charlie Kirk noted the similarities between the Bridgeport election and the 2020 presidential election where millions of Americans believe Donald Trump had his presidency stolen.
Bridgeport election officials were given 10 days to select a date for the new primary.
Earlier this week, a Springfield, Massachusetts, Democrat mayoral candidate was caught on video allegedly paying citizens to vote for him.
On Thursday, it was revealed the FBI is investigating Democrat NYC Mayor Eric Adams for potentially engaging in election corruption by conspiring with the Turkish government in an illegal donation scheme.
