Suspect in black Lamborghini attempts rob man at Erewhon Market before shooting him in street, police say

A man was shot during an attempted robbery at a luxury supermarket in Southern California this week, according to reports.

The incident unfolded at around 5 p.m. on Thursday in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles.

The 28-year-old victim was exiting Erewhon Market when he was accosted in the parking garage by a black male who demanded the other man surrender valuables, Fox 11 reports, citing a Los Angeles police spokesman.

Surveillance footage of what transpired has been circulating on social media.

The suspect can be seen shoving the victim near the exit of the garage after a brief exchange.

Following the assault, a passenger exits an idling SUV and appears to join the victim in confronting the suspect as all three make their way into the street.

More shoves are exchanged before the suspect pulls a firearm, shoots the 28-year-old, and runs away.

The suspect later ran back into the garage and fled the scene in a black Lamborghini, according to NBC 4.

While a detailed description of the shooter was reportedly not released by police, Fox 11 noted the color of the suspect’s clothes.

The victim was driven to a local hospital but his condition is not clear at the time of this writing.
