Delta employee praised by right for putting ‘pronoun tyrant in his place’ and refusing to buy into transgender victimhood mentality.
A confrontation between a biologically male transgender person and a Delta airlines employee went viral after the employee threatened to kick the man out of the airport for complaining about being “misgendered.”
The incident unfolded at New York City’s La Guardia Airport last Friday when transgender actor Tommy Dorfman, who stars in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, accused Delta employees of referring to him and his friend by the wrong gender.
Footage shows Dorfman, who’s evidently a friend of transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, confronting employees and accusing them of purposely referring to them by the wrong gender.
“When you try to advocate for yourself at @delta and are met woth [SIC] even more transpbobia [SIC] and threats of being arrested at LaGuardia [SIC],” Dorfman wrote in a social media post of the incident. “Tristan, the employee, said he was fine with me posting this. didn’t realize it was condescending to flag a human rights violation after another employee misgendered me incessantly.”
Responding “it wasn’t intentional,” a Delta employee went on to put the matter to rest by threatening to kick the transgender and his friend out of the airport.
“You’re being condescending,” the employee told Dorfman. “And if you want to continue, I’ll have Port Authority escort you out the building right this moment if you want to play that game with me. Which if you’d like to continue three days before Christmas, I really don’t mind.”
In a statement to Newsweek, Delta replied “we’re aware of the video and looking into the matter, including reaching out to our customer to understand more about what occurred.”
Meanwhile, the Delta employee was praised by right wing commentators and others for putting a “pronoun tyrant in his place” and refusing to buy into the transgender victimhood mentality.
The incident comes as Delta caught heat from the right just last week after it was discovered the airline was facilitating the transport of illegal immigrants to sponsors inside the United States on the taxpayer dime.
