Colorado GOP appeal allows Trump on ballot unless overruled or refused by SCOTUS
The Colorado Secretary of State has revealed Donald Trump will be on the state’s 2024 GOP primary ballot despite the Colorado Supreme Court recently ruling Trump was ineligible to serve as president under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution.
The Colorado Republican Party filed an appeal to the state’s Supreme Court decision on Wednesday, and Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswald responded the following day.
Griswald stated:
“The Colorado Republican Party has appealed the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision in Anderson v. Griswold to the U.S. Supreme Court. With the appeal filed, Donald Trump will be included as a candidate on Colorado’s 2024 Presidential Primary Ballot when certification occurs on Jan. 5, 2024, unless the U.S. Supreme Court declines to take the case or otherwise affirms the Colorado Supreme Court ruling.”
The appeal put a stay on the ruling until the U.S. Supreme Court hears the case or refuses to take it, which could mean the issue isn’t handled by the time the primary takes place.
Law expert Jonathan Turley wrote on 𝕏, “The office of Secretary of State Jena Griswald issued a statement that, since the appeal was filed with the Supreme Court, Trump’s name will remain on the ballot ‘unless the U.S. Supreme Court declines to take the case or otherwise affirms the Colorado Supreme Court ruling.’”
It was recently revealed that the group behind the Colorado lawsuit removing Trump from the primary ballot is largely funded by billionaire globalist George Soros.
The left’s blatant attempts to disqualify its top political opponent are being spotlighted and shut down thanks to Americans finally waking up to the establishment’s attacks on the populist candidate.
