Brazilian rape suspect roamed free in U.S. for years
An illegal alien from Brazil who was released into the United States under Joe Biden has been deported to face rape charges in his homeland, authorities say.
On Friday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the removal of Thalles Mendes Ribeiro, a Brazilian fugitive who illegally entered the U.S. during the first year of the Biden administration.
Mendes Ribeiro was originally apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) near San Ysidro, California, on June 10, 2021.
“USBP served Mendes with a notice to appear charging him with inadmissibility,” ICE explained in a press release.
“USBP transferred Mendes to ERO San Diego’s custody on June 13, 2021. On the same date, ERO San Diego released Mendes under the Alternatives to Detention program and ordered him to report to ERO Newark.”
When Mendes skipped his immigration court hearing on February 24, 2023, a judge in Newark, New Jersey, ordered his removal from the country in absentia.
Nearly 10 months later, Mendes was caught by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Eatontown, New Jersey, on December 4, 2023.
He was transferred to the custody of ICE ERO Philadelphia and held until January 26, when he was deported to Brazil to face his charges there.
U.S. authorities continue to apprehend dangerous foreign criminals who have either been released into the country by the Biden administration or snuck in undetected.
Last month, Texas troopers apprehended a human smuggler wanted for murder in Mexico.
On Friday, ICE ERO Salt Lake City announced the arrest of a Mexican citizen wanted for murder south of the border.
Chaos unfolds constantly along the U.S.-Mexico border, as Infowars regularly reports.
