“How in the hell do we come up with a $53 million pilot program for illegals, but folks who are here legally, who are born here, we don’t have enough for them?” asks Stephen A. Smith
A top sports commentator has warned that Democrat policies clearly prioritizing the needs of illegal aliens over those of American citizens could fuel Donald Trump’s return to the White House.
During an episode of his popular show this week, ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith slammed a program being rolled out in New York City whereby illegal aliens will receive $53 million via prepaid debit cards to finance their lifestyles in the Big Apple.
“We’ve got poor, impoverished, starving people who were born and raised in this nation,” Smith railed. “How in the hell do we come up with a $53 million pilot program for illegals, but folks who are here legally, who are born here, we don’t have enough for them?”
“Just like we can come up with billions for Ukraine, but somehow, someway, we can’t fix the homeless problem.”
Smith, a staunch leftist, asked how U.S. authorities can justify printing monumental amounts of money to send overseas but won’t do the same to benefit Americans in need amid ongoing economic woes and explosive surges in the costs of basic goods and services.
“That’s why Trump is on the verge of getting elected, because when he was in office there was a flourishing economy,” he said.
Smith’s comments come just days after he blasted Democrats for not putting up a strong candidate against Trump, asserting that Joe Biden is too old and frail for the task.
“What the hell have you been doing that in the year 2024 you have to rely on an 82-year-old to beat a 78-year-old man with four indictments, 91 counts against him?” Smith said during an appearance on the Howard Stern Show in late January.
“I’m not enamored with either candidate. I don’t like Trump because I think that he’ll cause civil war in this country, and I think he will be on a vengeance tour as the president of the United States if he were to get reelected.”
“I would vote for Biden any day of the week ahead of Trump,” he concluded.
