“You know, when buying snacks for the game, you might have noticed one thing: Sports drink bottles are smaller. A bag of chips has fewer chips, but they’re still charging us just as much.”

President Joe Biden just released a tone-deaf promotion for today’s Super Bowl where he blamed companies for ‘ripping off’ Americans trying to buy snacks for the big game.

In a completely unasked-for critique of the economy, Biden reminded Americans of the “shrinkflation” they are all enduring in a speech seemingly written by Kamala Harris:

While you were Super Bowl shopping, did you notice smaller-than-usual products where the price stays the same?

Folks are calling it Shrinkflation and it means companies are giving you less for every dollar you spend.

I’m calling on the big consumer brands to put a stop to it. pic.twitter.com/wL1NsEh78F

“It’s Super Bowl Sunday. And if you’re anything like me, you like to be surrounded by a snack or two while watching the big game.

You know, when buying snacks for the game, you might have noticed one thing: sports drinks bottles are smaller. Bag of chips has fewer chips, but they’re still charging us just as much.

As an ice cream lover, what makes me the most angry is that ice cream cartons have actually shrunk in size, but not in price. I’ve had enough of what they call ‘shrinkflation.’

It’s a rip off. Some companies are trying to pull a fast one by shrinking the products little by little hoping you won’t notice.

Give me a break. The American public is tired of being played for suckers.

I’m calling on companies to put a stop to this. Let’s make sure businesses do the right thing, NOW.”

Indeed, Americans do know they are being ripped off, but for reasons that would make the puppet president say, “Come on, man!”

Critics online tore into the president:

Shrinkflation so bad it’s hitting your remaining brain cells. Imagine being so dumb you admit what’s happened under your administration

Bro, it’s not “shrinkflation” it’s building back better.

Probably not the best thing to bring up when praising the “decline” in inflation. Also, did you notice all the jobs in the past year were part-time and went to immigrants? https://t.co/9cwNu6is5u

The president wants to highlight Shrinkflation.

His administration caused it and companies are attempting to survive.

The other option is to raise prices.

I’m not certain what the strategy in highlighting this is. https://t.co/Y4QImCwWj8

It takes a weird kind of hubris to attack and blame the victims of your ideology. Truth is that inflation is always created and perpetuated by government decree, whereas “shrinkflation” is a totally understandable way for business to deal with soaring input costs. https://t.co/RjsRQNDmEu

This abysmal attempt to showcase Biden during an election season comes on the heels of the White House unlisting Thursday’s trainwreck press conference where he attempted to remind Americans he’s not senile or mentally fragile.
