The FBI’s handling of Donald Trump’s prosecution is without precedent, Kelly claims
“The FBI interrogated Nauta w/o Trump’s knowledge. About not just the movement of boxes but Trump’s habits and conversations,” Tweeted Julie Kelly in a thread about the newly released transcripts of FBI interviews with Donald Trump’s valet, Walt Nauta. “Just imagine the FBI doing this to any other former president.”
Julie Kelly expressed her shock at the tactics used by the FBI to attempt to get Nauta to turn on his former employer.
Sections of the transcripts posted by Kelly revealed that the FBI agents joked to Nauta that they needed to “get you sweaty” to avoid alerting Trump that his valet was not in fact “out jogging” as he believed.
At one point they also appeared to accuse Nauta of “being something other than an aide”, in Kelly’s words.
“I’m not entirely convinced you are a cook,” said FBI Agent Number 1, adding that he believed Mr Nauta was actually “special ops or something like that.”
“I wish I was something,” Nauta replied. “I wish I was Steven Seagal, but no.”
Kelly went on to describe the interview as “another Flynn-style FBI ambush of a Trump confidant.”
“FBI plays on Nauta’s loyalties as a Navy officer to suggest Trump is risking the lives of those who produced the papers they are accusing Trump of keeping at MAL [Mar-a-Lago]. Dirty b*stards.”
Kelly’s conclusion, as she wrapped up her thread, was that the whole interview, and presumably the charges against Donald Trump for mishandling classified information are “utter and total bullsh*t.”
“During this time frame, Joe Biden enlisted govt aides to search Penn Biden center for classified documents- including national defense files that he also haphazardly kept in numerous locations for YEARS after he left the White House.”
