‘I really hope this is a lesson to people out there, that if you are abusing children, I will find out. I will find you. I will come with my huge spotlight and shine it on wherever you are.’
Hilton Hotels heiress Paris Hilton says she’s continuing her work to save children from abuse, following arrests at a school for troubled teenagers in Jamaica.
“I have some great news, an update from Jamaica. Five of the employees from Atlantis Leadership Academy have been arrested for abusing children,” Hilton, 43, declared in a TikTok video earlier this month. “I hope this really sets a precedent that if abuse happens arrests will be made.”
Echoing Liam Neeson’s character in Taken, Hilton went on to say, “I really hope this is a lesson to people out there, that if you are abusing children, I will find out. I will find you. I will come with my huge spotlight and shine it on wherever you are. Because people are not going to get away with this anymore. Enough is enough and it has to stop.”
Hilton went on to reassure victims of child abuse that a massive community of survivors exists and she’s working to help expose their plights.
“And I hope you all know we have a huge community out there. And survivors, we believe you,” Hilton said. “I know from personal experience, of being in these places and how they operate. I have spoken to thousands of survivors. Everyone has the same story. This needs to stop. This is been happening for decades and people are just getting away with it. Not anymore.”
The hotel heiress’s message follows the arrests of five men at the Atlantis Leadership Academy in Treasure Beach, Jamaica, after Jamaican CPS determined eight boys attending the school were abused by staff members.
Hilton first came forward about her own abuse in 2020 when she revealed she’d been subjected to physical, psychological and emotional abuse while attending the Provo Canyon School teen treatment facility in Utah in the late 90s.
She’s since claimed she was subjected to nonconsensual “cervical exams” and other forms of physical and sexual abuse.
“This wasn’t even a doctor,” Hilton told the New York Times in 2022. “It was with a couple different staff members where they would lay us on the table and put their fingers inside of us. I don’t even know what they were doing, but it was definitely not a doctor, and it was really scary.”
“It was really scary, and it’s something that I really had blocked out for many years but it’s coming back all the time now, and I think about it,” she added. “And now, looking back as an adult, that was definitely sexual abuse.”
