Giuliani was suspended from WBAC for continuing to maintain the 2020 election was stolen
Rudy Giuliani issued a defiant statement on Twitter after he was suspended from radio station WBAC for discussing the validity of the 2020 election. His show has been cancelled.
Giuliani took to Twitter to make clear his refusal to be told what to say.
“The 2020 U.S. Presidential Election was stolen,” he tweeted.
“…and like I’ve said before, I won’t be paid off, bullied, or coerced into silence. Not by @JoeBiden. Not by @TheDemocrats.Not by @77WABCRadio.”
According to The New York Times, John Catsimatidis, the billionaire owner of the station, made the decision to axe Giuliani and his show after repeated warning not to talk about the 2020 election.
“We’re not going to talk about fallacies of the November 2020 election,” Catsimatidis told The Times.
“We warned him once. We warned him twice. And I get a text from him last night, and I get a text from him this morning that he refuses not to talk about it. So he left me no option. I suspended him.”
Catsimatidis claimed that Giuliani had to be physically cut off by employees of the radio station when he was trying to talk about the election, on Thursday.
