Pajama-wearing thug and accomplice disarmed by would-be victims

Armed thieves realized they targeted the wrong house when the male occupants beat them up and stole their rifle during a recent home invasion gone sideways in Washington state, according to reports.

The harrowing incident unfolded in Tacoma at around 10 p.m. on October 26, but videos just became public this week.

Three men were sitting in an open garage and drinking beer when a pair of masked suspects walked in, pointed a rifle at them, and demanded they hand over valuables, authorities explained in an affidavit.

During the ensuing confrontation, a seated victim was struck in the face with the rifle muzzle.

Moments later, one of the men lunged toward the suspects and a melee broke out.

Footage captured by multiple surveillance cameras shows the ensuing fight, during which the suspects were soundly beaten and their rifle taken away.

Suddenly, a Mercedes-Benz raced up the street and rammed into of the victim’s cars, causing significant damage.

A suspect jumped into the luxury car and they sped away.

The Tacoma Police Department located the Mercedes heading northbound on I-5 and gave pursuit.

The driver reportedly reached speeds of up to 130 mph during the chase, eventually crashing on a surface road.

The suspects then bailed out of the vehicle and continued fleeing on foot, but were apprehended at a nearby warehouse.

One of the suspects was identified as a 16-year-old minor, while the other, believed to be the driver, was named as Nicolas Acahua.

Authorities say Acahua has prior felonies, including convictions for Robbery in the Second Degree and Assault in the Second Degree.

“One of the officers identified defendant Acahua as the driver of the Mercedes. Following the defendant’s arrest, he was advised of his Miranda rights, but declined to make a statement,” prosecutors said.

“He later made unsolicited statements, to include stating, ‘Everything in the car is mine.’ When officers arrived at the hospital with the defendant, he saw N.G. and ‘nodded and smirked’ at N.G. ‘as if he was proud of what he had done.’”

The Mercedes used in the crime was previously reported stolen out of Tacoma on October 24.
