‘J6 was an FBI op…’ congressman wrote on social media

Representative Clay Higgins (R-LA) claimed during a Wednesday interview on Newsmax that the Federal Bureau of Investigations had more than 200 agents embedded in the crowd of Trump supporters on January 6th.

Higgins, who serves on the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security, grilled FBI Director Christopher Wray last month about the potential that agents and other assets were hidden among the crowd.

The GOP Rep. showed images of buses allegedly filled with FBI assets in Trump gear on Jan. 6, telling Wray, “These buses are nefarious in nature and were filled with FBI informants dressed as Trump supporters and deployed into our capitol on January 6. Your day is coming, Mr. Wray.”

Higgins told Newsmax host Chris Salcedo, “The FBI was not only involved in the actions on January 6 from within, they had, I suspect, over 200 agents embedded within the crowd, including agents or as they would call, human assets, inside the Capitol dressed as Trump supporters before the doors were opened.”

Next, the congressman explained FBI agents were infiltrating groups objecting to Covid measures and that most suggestions of violence or an active occupation of the Capitol on January 6 came from the feds.

Higgins also said many Republicans do not support funding a DOJ and FBI that are being weaponized against the American people, adding, “We’re taking a hard look at rebuilding the whole thing.”
