Surveillance footage shows trio of hooded suspects stalking vehicle on busy street before opening fire

A young mother was killed and her male friend seriously wounded when gunmen opened fire on their vehicle in the middle a New York City street this week, according to reports.

The shocking incident unfolded just before midnight on Tuesday in Queens.

A Honda sedan was idling on a relatively busy road in the Richmond Hill neighborhood when three suspects approached the car and began shooting.

Surveillance footage of the brutal execution was provided to the New York Post and has been circulating on social media.

The hooded suspects can be seen stalking the vehicle in a clearly pre-planned ambush.

The driver, identified as a 39-year-old male, can be seen trying to drive away as the gunmen discharge their weapons at point-blank range.

After the suspects fled the scene, the wounded man managed to drive to a nearby police precinct house.

“The driver was shot a half-dozen times in the torso and was taken by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition. Burgos was declared dead on site, cops said,” the Post reports.

Burgos is reportedly survived by her 4-year-old son.

“Why? Why is there another child without his mother?”

Authorities have not apprehended any suspects or determined a motive for the shooting at the time of this writing, according to the latest available updates.
