Disastrous effects of “sanctuary city” policies continue to be seen in Democrat-controlled regions.
Shocking video out of New York City shows a massive line of illegal aliens lining up to apply for “free” housing paid for by the taxpayers.
The taxpayer-funded housing scheme is part of NYC’s “sanctuary city” policy that guarantees free housing for illegal migrants.
“Because this is a sanctuary city, housing is guaranteed — so if they wait in line, they can re-apply and be re-housed,” Fox News reporter Madison Alworth said in front of the queue of migrants.

“What you’re seeing is this line that wraps around the corner and has been this long all day long.”
“It has yet to be seen how much that will cost. What I can tell you is that the crisis up to this point has cost $3 billion,” she added.
About 70,000 illegal aliens are now residing in New York City which has faced an even greater influx of migrants as a result of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) busing them into the city from the border.
“Texas has transported over 95,000 migrants to sanctuary cities. Sanctuary cities like NYC & Chicago have seen only a FRACTION of what overwhelmed Texas border towns face daily. We will continue our transportation mission until Biden reverses course on his open border policies,” Abbott wrote on X Tuesday.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) has been calling on Congress and the federal government to provide financial aid to the city to deal with the “surge” of illegal migrants while condemning Abbott’s political tactic.
“New York City has begun to see another surge of migrants arriving, and we expect this to intensify over the coming days as a result of Texas Governor Abbott’s cruel and inhumane politics,” Adams said last week.
“We need federal and state help to resettle and support the remaining 68,000 migrants currently in New York City’s care and the thousands of individuals who continue to arrive every single week, and for Governor Abbott to finally stop the games and use of migrants as political pawns.”
If only free housing was provided for U.S. veterans instead of law-breaking non-U.S. citizens.
