Driver narrowly escapes death thanks to heroic efforts from first responders

A semi-truck driver was pulled out of their vehicle as it dangled off the side of the Louisville Bridge and hung over the Ohio River on Friday.

In what looked like a scene from a Hollywood film, the front half of the semi was facing down toward the river as the back end barely grasped onto the bridge.

A fire department rescue team lowered a first responder to the driver via a crane and safely returned them to the bridge.

Footage of the incident was widely shared online:

The truck was hanging over the Ohio River on the Clark Memorial Bridge, also known as the 2nd Street Bridge after getting into a collision.
