The second night of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) featured a roll call vote of delegates selecting Vice President Kamala Harris as their nominee for president — a process that has already happened and was mainly just for show. Delegates already officially selected Harris as their nominee weeks ago, doing so in a virtual roll call vote, over several days early in August.
