Establishment media continues ‘Trump is Hitler’ talking point ahead of 2024 election
Former Missouri Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill told the Morning Joe audience watching MSNBC Wednesday that Donald Trump is “even more dangerous” than infamous genocidal dictators Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler.
McCaskill said, “A lot of people have tried to draw similarities between Mussolini and Hitler, and the use of terminology like vermin and the drive those men had towards autocracy and dictatorship. The difference though, I think, makes Donald Trump even more dangerous. And that is he has no philosophy he believes in.”
“He’s not trying to expand the boundaries of The United States of America,” she continued. “He’s not trying to overcome a neighboring country like Putin is in Ukraine. He’s not going for some grandiose scheme of international dominance. All he wants is to look in the mirror and see a guy who is president. All he cares about is selfish self-promotion.”
The ex-senator added, “That’s the only philosophy he has, which makes him even more dangerous because he has actually said it would be okay to terminate the Constitution to keep him in power. He said this! He actually said those words and the irony is all of these supposed conservative folks that have populated the Republican Party have all stood their with thumb in their mouth going, ‘Yeah. Okay.’ It’s bizarre.”
The Trump comment McCaskill was referring to was a 2022 Truth Social post where the GOP presidential frontrunner wrote about the rigged 2020 election, stating, “A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.”
After backlash, Trump clarified that “if an election is irrefutably fraudulent, it should go to the rightful winner or, at a minimum, be redone. Where open and blatant fraud is involved, there should be no time limit for change!”
Just yesterday the Morning Joe audience was again told Trump is an authoritarian who will “imprison” and “execute whoever he is allowed to imprison, execute, drive from the country.”
Over the weekend, Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) told former Biden White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on MSNBC that Trump “has to be eliminated” because he’s allegedly such a threat to American Democracy.
“His rhetoric is really getting dangerous,” Goldman said of Trump. “More and more dangerous. And we saw what happened on January 6th, when he uses inflammatory rhetoric. Now, in his recent Truth Social posts, is incredibly, incredibly scary for anyone uh, that, might be trying to work in government – and, it is just unquestionable at this point that that man can not see public office again. He is not only unfit, he is destructive to our democracy, and he has to be eliminated.”
The “Trump is literally Hitler” talking point appears to have been revived by failed Democrat presidential candidate and former Obama Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during a November appearance on The View.
Clinton asked The View hosts, “Hitler was duly elected, right? So, all of a sudden someone with those tendencies – those dictatorial, authoritarian tendencies – would be like, ‘Ok, we’re going to shut this down, we’re going to throw these people in jail.’ And, they didn’t usually telegraph that.”
“Trump is telling us what he intends to do,” she continued. “Take him at his word. The man means to throw people in jail who disagree with him… shut down legitimate press outlets, do what he can to literally undermine the rule of law and our country’s values.”
Establishment media talking heads and globalist politicians have clearly gotten the word to push the narrative that Trump is going to turn into an authoritarian dictator if re-elected out of fear he will exact retribution for the non-stop slew of Deep State attacks against him.
Of course, those who have been selling out and intentionally destroying America do need to be brought to justice by correctly using the judicial system instead of illegally weaponizing it as seen with the current administration.
