Liberal virtue-signalers use rise in mild JN.1 variant cases as excuse to reimpose ineffective mask policies.
Mask mandates are returning to hospitals and healthcare facilities in numerous states, much to the left’s delight.
Hospitals are reinstating COVID-19 mask mandates in California, Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, and other states, citing the mild JN.1 variant becoming the dominant strain spreading throughout the country.
The mask mandates apply to healthcare workers and staff but patients are also “strongly encouraged” to wear masks.
Liberals in LA County are over the moon about the return of ineffective masking.

University of Pittsburgh Medical Center reinstated mask mandates across 40 hospitals last Friday.

UMass Memorial Medical Center, the largest healthcare provider in Central Massachusetts, reimplemented mask mandates effective Jan. 2.
“These changes are expected to remain in effect for approximately one month, at which time they will be reevaluated based on current trends. The health and wellbeing of our patients, visitors and employees is our top priority,” Dr. Andrew Karson, president of UMass Memorial Medical Group, said in a statement.
Keiser Permanente has also reimposed mask mandates for healthcare staff in Washington.

According to Kaiser Permanente’s revised masking guidance, the requirement applies to all “staff and care team members in all patient care and public spaces” of their medical facilities, including Spokane.
Some patient care settings and waiting areas require masks for patients and visitors but most Kaiser health care settings do not require masks for nonemployees unless they show symptoms of respiratory illness.
“Masks are not required but are strongly recommended for patients and visitors who do not have respiratory symptoms and are visiting low-risk areas of our medical facilities,” reads the guidance.
Numerous studies have found no evidence to suggest masks protect people from COVID, a fact even Biden White House COVID adviser Dr. Ashish Jha acknowledged last year.
In fact, an NIH study found that masks actually exposed wearers to eight times the recommended safety limit of toxic volatile organic compounds (TVOCs).
But the left can’t resist virtue-signaling whenever they can.
