CNN correspondent says she could smell the scent of burning flesh.
A man set himself ablaze outside of former President Donald Trump’s criminal “hush money” trial in New York on Friday.

The motive for the self-immolation and the person’s current condition are not immediately clear.
Footage shows a person engulfed in flames outside of the Manhattan court house while terrified screams from onlookers could be heard.
After a few moments, police rush the scene with a fire extinguisher attempting to put out the blaze.
“The man was in an area of the park that was cordoned off for supporters of Mr. Trump,” reports the New York Times.
The New York Post reports: “Police sources said the man is 20-years-old and possibly homeless.”
“He had been sitting on a bench inside the park when he suddenly threw his belongings on the ground and doused himself in something before going up in flames,” according to the Post.

Last February, United States Air Force serviceman Aaron Bushnell died after he set himself on fire outside of the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC, reportedly in protest of the Israel-Palestine war.
